CAP2465 terminals are a coaxial cable WiFi Access Point solution.
They have four 10-100M full duplex Ethernet ports which are able to simultaneously connect a computer, a Set Top Box(STB) or multiple other terminals. They are able to transmit network through television coaxial cable while having no influence on CATV signal transmission. CAP2465 reside within a low frequency bandwidth (to 67.5MHz). CAP2465 propagates a data network in the 7-67.5 MHz frequency range, below CATV and satellite frequencies (100mhz+) ensuring no interruption of the TV signal.
CAP2465 can also be relegated to occupy the 7-30 MHz range, allowing the system to function in parallel with Docsis.
The WiFiTel CAP2465 is based on IEEE 1901 with HomePlug AV protocol. This product can Transmit/receive Ethernet signals over CATV coaxial cable, occupy low-frequency band outside the frequency range of the existing CATV and is well adapted to the diversified topologies of existing broadcasting & TV networks.
