The WiFiTel Coaxial Broadband Access solution including the CADC1001 Coaxial Converter series, CAP2465 Access Point series and Network Management Software. CADC1001 is a Coaxial Terminal Access Point Converter. It has the capability to provide the simultaneous output of Ethernet data and CATV signal through a coaxial cable television distribution network. This can allow multi-cable transmission of television programs, voice signal and data traffic. The CADC1001 Converter is capable of providing PHY rates of 500Mbps and up to 300Mbps of throughput over a coaxial cable network. CADC1001 Converters support remote network management and allow for centralized management on the connected CAP2465 series terminals.
CADC1001 Coaxial Converter is based on IEEE 1901 and compatible with HomePlug AV protocol. This product can transmit/receive Ethernet signals over CATV coaxial cable and occupies a low-frequency band outside the frequency range of the existing CATV. It functions over the same coaxial network with an existing DOCSIS system, there is no need to restructure the existing coaxial network, and it is well adapted to the diversified topologies of existing broadcasting & TV networks.
CADC1001 resides within a low frequency bandwidth (to 67.5 MHz). CADC1001 propagates a data network in the 7-67.5 MHz frequency range, below CATV and satellite frequencies (100mhz+) ensuring no interruption of the TV signal. CADC1001 can also be configured to occupy the 7 – 30 MHz range, allowing the system to function in parallel with Docsis television systems and lower bandwidth channels .
